Taiwan-ASEAN Drug Regulatory Forum Visits TLC
Members of the first-ever Taiwan-ASEAN Drug Regulatory Forum, organized by the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration, recently visited TLC’s headquarter for a tour of the offices and laboratories and a discussion regarding trends in the pharmaceutical industry.
The group of ASEAN representatives was led by Jaw-Jou Kang, Head of Pharmacokinetics at National Yang-Ming University Faculty of Pharmacy, and included Khairulanwar Bin Burhanuddin – Head of Bioequivalence and Ethics Committee Compliance Section at National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency, Malaysia Ministry of Health; Richard Simon Binos – Head of Standards Development and Advocacy Section, Product Research and Standards Development Division, Philippines Food and Drug Administration; Tu Viet Lan - Director of Vietnam’s Center for Training and Supporting Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Enterprises; Aye Nyein Myat – Deputy Director (Drug) at Myanmar Ministry of Health; and Patharavan Chimvong and Vivan Prompradith – Practitioner Level Pharmacists, Chemical Drug Review Sub-Division, Bureau of Drug Control, Thailand Food and Drug Administration. TLC’s President George Yeh personally guided the tour, after which the group shared experiences and discussed recent pharmaceutical trends, strengthening relationships between Taiwan and its neighboring countries.
